High Frequency- The high frequency machine connects to a glass probe filled with argon gas. The gas makes the probe glow violet. An esthetician places gauze over skin and then runs the probe over the gauze. You will feel some sparking as the argon in the probe produces ozone gas (a form of oxygen denoted as O3). The ozone produced by the probe kills bacteria inside a pimple by creating an unhospitable environment for bacteria that causes acne (P. acnes). The heat emitted from the probe also has a healing and drying effect. Inflamed acne cysts dry out and heal overnight.
Microdermabrasion- works on all skin types and colors. It is an effective exfoliator to remove dead skin and prevent signs of aging but not effective for deeper problems such as scars, stretch marks, or deep acne scars. Microdermabrasion is a good fit for people who cannot take "down time" for healing. After microdermabrasion, your skin will be pink and feel tight for about 24 hours. Use moisturizer and sunscreen. Avoid sun exposure for a few days immediately after the procedure.
Microcurrent- This muscle toning treatment zaps your face with electrical stimualtion to tone and tighten facial muscles. "It's like a little workout for your face," actress Jennifer Aniston said in an interview with In Style magazine. The electrical stimulation technology behind the microcurrent facial has been used in treatments for patients afflicted with Bell's palsy, a sudden paralysis or weakness of facial muscles that causes one side of your face to appear to droop.
